it’s been a helluva rollercoaster ride 2008.
with the first few months crawling at tortoise pace..
and the subsequent months cruising by…
and the last months zooming past..

i’ve learnt alot..and i hope i’ve grown quite a bit too..

it’s been a long time since i really wanted to blog.
as in…
1) finger’s almost cool now…managed to bang the invories without wincing at all…and was banging to the piano score of Jay’s Secret..ha…quite complex la..but pretty decent piece..
2) i’m super sleep deprieved but am quite happy to go without sleep also? as in…i’ll just be woozy the whole day la…but not grouchy…ha…(whatever comments that u want to say..text/sms me)
3) no office / emails for 10 whole fricking days! woohooo!!!
4) 10 whole fricking days without the dog (
5) i’m gonna bring a new book and zoom thru it on the plane.

aiya…
now i don’t know what else to blog..as in…there’s stuff…but…nah.

Torn ligament.

I can’t believe this bloody finger caused me so much trouble and pain!
in sept..i thought it was a sprain or something..
spent a month massaging it with chinese medicated oil.
in oct..i thought it might be a fracture or hairline crack or something.
went to get an xray done…was given some pain relieving gel thingy.
in nov..pam thinks it’s a trigger finger…we’re still trying to get the splint thingy done.
procuring the supplies seem to be abit tricky.
in nov..the doctor thinks that i might have torn my ligament and thus need to go for
1) specialist treatment
2) physiotherapy.

darnit.

and of all things…esp these past few days…i’ve been missing you alot.
boohoo.

really want my finger back.

and my job kinda >.<
i’ve been OT-ing the past few days.
hate it.
and i need to get 2 powerpoint presentations out by monday.
and the content is like so scratch-the-surface
i dunno la…really cant be bothered.
will do tmr at work.
am really tired.

Working at HBF.

I managed to get my hands on the floating laptop last night!

will be working from HBF today, some training thingy at 1.30-4.30..
might prolly stay to work somemore tho..cuz it’s REALLY REALLY slow to work at home!
i almost died opening this file, fine…it was on the server, and it’s 18Mb in size.
Rawr.

I really should start a new file tho.
heh.

but i’m really half-arsed about going to work.

wanna work from HOMEEEE.
but lousy download speeds.

tried to get some work done last night..
totally crashed out at 11-ish
but couldn’t make the crash complete, as I was waiting for that file to be saved!
30mins to save a file, and during that period, I can’t do nuts with the rest of my excel files.
gah.!
bladderdash.

i have a japfood craving.

Our great big plan didn’t quite work out yesterday mainly because of Meetings and meetings and more meetings!
Everyone with a car seemed to have a meeting 1130 or 1230!
blah.
So…
We went to the refinery for lunch…it’s really really cheapcheapcheap and quite nice also…$2 for Cai Fan
Meat + Egg + Veg.

and i took my chances with a magnolia ice cream bar.

I so totally miss WK so much!
He was on leave on Friday and I had to settle both his stuff and my own.
and basically…his was the more urgent of the two.

there were so many problems to settle!
especially during lunch time!

HS & PY went off in A’s car first..
and luckily S was going and he has a car!
so we left later after I sent off some emails..

no one told me work would be like this!

and i stayed till 630-ish yesterday when official hours are till 345!
it’s official.
I have no life.

Thank God for the young people at work.

they make things slightly more interesting..
cuz we’re REALLY sien of the food at work and around work..
we decided to have McDees for lunch tomorrow!

HS: ???
Me: we’re having Macs tmr. you’re coordinating because you’re the QA Coordinator.
PY: hahahaha
HS: Why me? She’s the Planner what..
Me: She plan liao…you have to coordinate lor..
HS: then you do what?
PY: She’s QA. She’ll eat and test the food that you order.
Me: wahahahaha.

And the convo entertained us all the way back to office.

Me: Eh..Coordinator..you can always shoot to Projects wad..it’s considered a project.
HS: yar hor. send email out to shoot.

then i sent some stuff to the guy in Projects…and i was like…

besides the fact that she reminds me of Ms Dorcas Cheang…coolio physics teacher in Crez.
and.
she’s really quite capable.
i mean…she looks quite young…and she’s already achieved quite a bit!
plus i love her funky rings!
and she’s a kantang. XD
with the slang and all..
whole package!
and she has a sense of humour!
She was supposed to go thru some thingy with me last friday and she IM-ed me
I know we’re supposed to do this at 2..but i just finished a telecon..haven’t had lunch yet. Need food. will msg you when i get back ok?

i found out that she has a facebook account!
but i can’t access that.
BUT!
i managed to find out that she has a degree in Zoology and Chemistry.
man!
how cool is that!

and she studied in NZ.

she’s part of an acapella group!
that actually performs and was interviewed in the papers before!

i just went to search on the group and stuff…
they have a website!

she was from ACJC.
